Who says wedding food has to be boring?

Today we went to our first Antique Fair in Alameda, just down the street from where our wedding reception was held. It was such a fun day... not only did we score some awesome finds, but our favorite food truck was there, The Chairman! We ended up ordering some and having lunch right by our wedding venue, Rock Wall Winery, while gazing at the amazing view of the skyline.

There we were, eating the same food we had served the night of our wedding, reminiscing about how much we enjoyed our food selections... Yes, we had food trucks at our wedding! We both knew we didn't want your typical fish or chicken dinners, we wanted food we actually enjoyed. We also wanted it to be interactive, just like every other element in our wedding. Of course, we were hesitant, worrying about what some of our guests would think... but we said, heck, it's our day, let's have fun!

Our food tastings were not your typical tastings. Ours spanned over multiple days, multiple Off the Grids, and other different foot truck events. I think we both agree that it was one of the most enjoyable parts of the wedding planning process. :)

We ended up going with The Chairman, An the Go, MoonStruck, and Kinders. Because our reception was in a airplane hangar, we were able to 'reveal' the trucks by opening the hangar doors.

We then handed out menus so that each guest would know what each truck was serving. To make sure every guest was able to try food from each truck, each truck had it's own table and food was served buffet style.

Most guests were excited, the older generation was a little confused at first, but by the end of the night, everyone couldn't stop telling us how much they enjoyed the food!
